Watercolour Florals

My floral watercolour paintings are a stylized and energetic interpretation of nature's blooms. Each piece highlights the flowers through bold strokes, vibrant colours, and often with contrasting outlines. These outlines reference the "peek-a-boo" effect sometimes found in oil and acrylic underpaintings, adding depth, unity and a unique visual pop. While the flowers are the focus, I also enjoy grounding them within their natural habitat or the specific environment where I first encountered it. These backgrounds are more imagined and expressive than those in my landscape pieces, allowing for a playful blend of reality and artistic interpretation.
